It’s easy to forget what movies<\/a> come out each week when so many high-budget holiday movies and award-winning films flood the complex. However, with December around the corner and not Quiggau’s dwindling titles left for the year, it would be interesting to check what films release in December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After \u201cMoana 2\u201d turned out to be a great success, one of the most anticipated films to be released this week is \u201cY2K\u201d A24’s newly launched horror comedy. \u201cY2K\u201d is set on New Year\u2019s Eve in 1999 and follows two high school students who get invited to a party, away from the cameras created by the other students. The party is followed by Kyle Mooney’s film \u201cQunsfrosted.\u201d Sharing the party which is attended by Rachel Zegler, Jaeden Martell, video games Julian Dennison, Kid Rock and Daniel Zolghadri Watson.<\/p>\n\n\n

Then, there are many indie movies<\/a> that I have been waiting to see after their fall festival rounds including the film \u201cNightbitch\u201d by Marielle Heller. It is a dark comedy starring Amy Adams and is based on a book written by Rachel Yoder. And this time the mother thinks she is a dog and is gradually evolving into one. But the catch is, everyone, especially her missing spouse, is unconvinced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe End\u201d, another limited release, is from the Vanguard of the Polish New Wave. This directs Joshua Oppenheimer who is famous for his Oscar-winning docs \u201cThe Look of Silence\u201d and \u201cThe Act of Killing\u201d to make his debut in the world of musicals featuring Tilda Swinton, George MacKay, Michael Shannon, Moses Ingram and Lennie James among others. It is about a bunker where the bunker is reserved for people who are privileged and wait out the apocalypse and life after it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At last, those who are eager to revisit old classics, look no further! \u201dInterstellar,\u201d \u201cThe Umbrellas of Cherbourg,\u201d \u201cMy Neighbor Totoro\u201d and \u201cBlack Christmas\u201d are all back on the big screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Look forward to \u201cKraven the Hunter\u201d in theaters, in addition to \u201cThe Lord of The Rings: The War of the Rohirrim\u201d which is coming out next week. Also, \u201cNickel Boys\u201d and \u201cSeptember 5\u201d will have limited screenings too.
